Firebird Corundum Bricks are crafted from high-purity tabular alumina and fused alumina, sintered in high-temperature shuttle kilns. These bricks exhibit outstanding characteristics such as high density, high purity, low porosity, and excellent thermal shock resistance. They are designed to withstand corrosion in both oxidizing and highly reducing atmospheres, as well as high-temperature hydrogen attack.
Available in standard brick sizes (straight, arches, and wedges) and custom plates and shapes, Firebird Corundum Bricks are versatile for various industrial applications. They are extensively used in industries such as fertilizer production, electro ceramics, petrochemical, steel, foundry, alloy steel, and refractories. Typical applications include secondary reformer and gas generator linings, catalyst bed supports, channel induction furnaces, reheating furnace hearths, skid rails, and saggers.
Petrochemical Industry: Used for lining secondary reformers, gas generators, and catalyst supports, corundum bricks resist high-temperature hydrogen attack and aggressive chemicals.
Glass Industry: Employed for crown insulation in glass furnaces, corundum bricks offer low porosity and high resistance to molten glass corrosion, maintaining furnace integrity and efficiency.
Fertilizer Production: Utilized in high-temperature reactors and reformers, corundum bricks withstand both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, ensuring performance and safety.
Non-Ferrous Metallurgy: Critical in induction, refining, and holding furnaces for metals like aluminum and copper, corundum bricks provide thermal shock resistance and low reactivity with molten metals.
Ceramic Industry: Used in kilns and saggars, corundum bricks ensure high refractoriness and durability, supporting consistent ceramic quality and kiln longevity.
Chemical Processing: Ideal for reactors and furnaces, corundum bricks resist corrosive chemicals and high temperatures, aiding in the production of high-purity materials.
Our in-house mould workshop is equipped with modern machinery and supported by experienced workers. This setup allows us to produce various custom shapes and sizes with good accuracy and consistency. Whether it’s intricate designs or larger production runs, our team can handle the task, ensuring that each brick meets quality standards and specific customer requirements.
