Introduction of Silica Insulation Brick
Application: Insulation of glass melting furnace, hot blast stove and general industrial use.

Firebird’s innovative silica insulation bricks are made from selected high-purity raw materials, formed by pressing with a rational particle size distribution, and sintered at high temperatures in a tunnel kiln.

Unlike traditional products, silica insulation bricks are 100% made from mineral raw materials, without burnout materials such as sawdust and polystyrene balls, minimizing NOx and CO2 emissions. This environmentally friendly approach meets strict environmental standards and contributes to sustainable development.

We offer three grades for customers:

INS06 with a density of 0.6g/cm³

INS08 with a density of 0.8g/cm³

INS10 with a density of 1.0g/cm³

Features of Silica Insulation Brick
  • High SiO2 Content & High Application Temperature:
Firebird silica insulation bricks have a higher SiO2 content, increasing classification and usage temperatures by 100-150°C, providing excellent insulation.
  • Optimized Sintering Process:
Made from high-purity raw materials, silica insulation bricks are pressed and sintered in a tunnel kiln, reducing defects and enhancing SiO2 phase transformation.
  • Multiple Density Options:
Available in densities of 1.0g/cm³, 0.8g/cm³, and 0.6g/cm³, silica insulation bricks optimize kiln insulation and reduce roof weight, offering a 20% lighter solution.
  • Enhanced Insulation Performance:
The uniform pore structure and lower density significantly reduce thermal conductivity, enhancing insulation.
  • Durable & Eco-Friendly:
Firebird bricks maintain structural integrity at high temperatures, extending service life. Made from mineral raw materials, they minimize NOx and CO2 emissions.

Raw Materials and Environmental Impact Contains materials like sawdust and polystyrene balls, leading to higher NOx and CO2 emissions Pure mineral raw materials, no burnout materials, reducing NOx and CO2 emissions
Manufacturing Process Mostly sintered by pusher slab kilns, prone to higher residual quartz, cracks, and poor thermal shock resistance Sintered in high-temperature tunnel kilns with extended holding time, reducing defects and improving thermal shock resistance
Thermal Performance Variability in density and strength leads to unstable insulation performance Lower density and more uniform pore structure, significantly reducing thermal conductivity and enhancing insulation performance
