Firebird’s innovative silica insulation bricks are made from selected high-purity raw materials, formed by pressing with a rational particle size distribution, and sintered at high temperatures in a tunnel kiln.
Unlike traditional products, silica insulation bricks are 100% made from mineral raw materials, without burnout materials such as sawdust and polystyrene balls, minimizing NOx and CO2 emissions. This environmentally friendly approach meets strict environmental standards and contributes to sustainable development.
We offer three grades for customers:
INS06 with a density of 0.6g/cm³
INS08 with a density of 0.8g/cm³
INS10 with a density of 1.0g/cm³
Property | Traditional Silica Insulation Brick | Firebird INS Silica Insulation Brick |
Raw Materials and Environmental Impact | Contains materials like sawdust and polystyrene balls, leading to higher NOx and CO2 emissions | Pure mineral raw materials, no burnout materials, reducing NOx and CO2 emissions |
Manufacturing Process | Mostly sintered by pusher slab kilns, prone to higher residual quartz, cracks, and poor thermal shock resistance | Sintered in high-temperature tunnel kilns with extended holding time, reducing defects and improving thermal shock resistance |
Thermal Performance | Variability in density and strength leads to unstable insulation performance | Lower density and more uniform pore structure, significantly reducing thermal conductivity and enhancing insulation performance |
Property | Traditional Silica Insulation Brick | Firebird INS Silica Insulation Brick |
Density and Weight | Limited density options, such as 1.0 to 1.2 g/cm³ | Multiple density options (0.6 g/cm³, 0.8 g/cm³, 1.0 g/cm³), lighter the refractory lining weight |
Application Temperature | Lower classification and usage temperatures (e.g., 1400-1450°C) | Higher SiO2 content, classification temperature increased by 100°C to 150°C, suitable for higher temperature environments (e.g., 1500-1600°C) |
Volume Stability and Service Life | Poor structural stability at high temperatures, frequent maintenance, shorter service life | Uniform pore structure maintains integrity at high temperatures, reducing maintenance, and extending service life |
Environmental Friendliness | Higher environmental impact during production | Fully mineral-based, dry-pressed product, meeting environmental standards and promoting sustainable development |
